This class will present the very fundamentals of chemistry, such as atoms, molecules and chemical reactions, in particular acid-base reactions, in a hands-on manner.  Students will make hypotheses, observe and participate in several experiments and draw conclusions using the scientific method. This curriculum is officially rated as K-3 level, but should interest older children who are being exposed to chemistry for the first time or need a refresher and younger children who can sit and listen to 10-15 minutes of lecture and discussion between activities.
