Teams of up to six, 6 to 9 year olds will participate in the 2010 Body Forward Challenge "to explore the cutting-edge world of Biomedical Engineering to discover innovative ways to repair injuries, overcome genetic predispositions, and maximize the body's potential, with the intended purpose of leading happier and healthier lives."
Over a 6-week course, participants will create a Show-Me poster which illustrates their research and team journey. They will also create a Lego Model representing a medical tool or machine which incorporates a simple machine and a moving part.
Each meeting will include a team-building activity, research time and model building.
A fee of $10 per child is required to cover material costs.
When: six Friday afternoons in a row - Nov 5, 12, 19, 26, Dec 3 and 10.
Where: Room 129 at Centre Communidée
Signing up: This activity is limited to 12 kids (2 teams of 6 kids each). Advanced sign-ups for members until Sept 1. Non-members can sign up any time after that. Use the sign up feature below or contact Sonya at (514) 845-5421.

Liam and I are sorting and cleaning lego to donate to the lego club. Does anyone have ideas how we should store them for use at the centre? Should be able to bring in a really big container by mid-September.
