In this presentation/workshop, the students will learn about the biology of whales as well as conservation issues related to marine mammals. A special emphasis will be placed on the narwhal. The students will also discover and practice methods employed in the study of whales such as field clues for species identification, individual photo-identification and underwater sound analysis. This activity involves a power-point presentation with several pictures and sounds as well as quizzes.
